The Jupiter Wave watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-4 loss to the Palm Beach Marlins on Sunday. The Palm Beach Marlins scored on an error in the first inning and a triple by Luis Castillo in the second inning.
The Jupiter Wave struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Marlins, giving up 11 runs.
The Jupiter Wave notched three runs in the fourth inning. Chandler Kezele, Andrew Branson, and Sean Arnal powered the big inning with RBIs.
The Palm Beach Marlins scored eight runs in the fourth inning. Edgar Perez, MC Sagaro, Ihosvany Castaneda, David Castillo, Raymond Sanchez, and Luis Tuero all drove in runs in the frame.
Yordani Carmona earned the win for the Palm Beach Marlins. The hurler went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out three. Jacob Bove and Nelson Perez Jrentered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Finn Kaczmarkowski took the loss for the Jupiter Wave. The pitcher lasted three innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out one and walking one.
Christian Walzak led the Jupiter Wave with two hits in two at bats.
Palm Beach Marlins totaled nine hits in the game. L. Castillo, D. Castillo, and Castaneda all collected multiple hits for the Palm Beach Marlins. The Palm Beach Marlins was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Sanchez had the most chances in the field with seven.
