Q: How long have you been playing baseball for and what made you start playing?
A: I have been playing baseball for about 15 years now, and I really started playing at such a young age because my dad played college ball for 4 years and I have also all ways been around it. No matter If it was high school games or Texas Rangers games.
Q: Why did you pick Redlands CC to play colligate ball?
A: I chose Redlands because I think the best route for me was juco for sure, I don’t think people realize how close and family like juco teams really are. I mean you are literally living under the same roof for months at a time and grinding out practices for hours at a time, and I love being on a team with camaraderie.
Q: What’s are your goals for you in the future?
A: My goals in the future are to get a scholarship to a 4-year school and get my degree. Then I would like to get into the insurance business and someday take over Jestis Insurance from my dad.
Q: How are you enjoying Florida this summer?
A: I’m having a blast playing in Florida this summer, I am bettering myself as a player and person. I have also met some people that will be friends for life.
Q: How would you describe your personality on the field?
A: I think my personality on the field would be crazy, energetic, and hard working.
Q: Do you have any superstitions or routines you have to do before any game?
A: I have picked up something new while being in Florida. We were playing at a field, and I found a pair of small kid glasses. I wear them before every game, and every single time someone has an interview on our team they always wear them.
Q: Who’s your favorite player to watch? Why?
A: My favorite player to watch would have to be Andrelton Simmons. He doesn’t have the best bat in the lineup, but he saves his team a lot of runs defensively. He also makes some of the flashiest plays I have ever seen.
