The Marlins slugger is back playing baseball in his home County this summer. Diaz graduated from Santaluces in 2018 and is excited to be back playing ball in Palm Beach.
Q: Tell me a little bit about yourself.
A: I was born in Pennsylvania then moved to Florida when I was two. I played 2 years at Pensacola state college, then transferred to Webber International
Q: Why did you choose Webber to play collegiate ball?
I thought it was a good fit since it was closer to home being able to be close to family and its a private business school, letting me be able to peruse something in that general area that interest me
Q: How long have you been playing baseball for?
A: I’ve been playing baseball since I was five and I’m currently 21
Q: What are you studying in school?
A: I study sport business management
Q: How did you find out about the Palm Beach Marlins and why did you want to play with them?
A: I found out about the Marlins from players I grew up with playing ball and I’m able to be home for the summer
Q: What’s are your goals for the season and in the future for you personally?
A: My goal in the future is to finish my last 2 years of baseball strong and to have fun with it. Then continue pursuing something that interests me in sport business management, or even maybe open up my own business.
Q: How would you describe your personality on the field?
A: My personality is quite until you get to know me, I’d say I’m pretty humorous
Q: Who’s your favorite player to watch?
A: My favorite player to watch is Alex Verdugo on the Red Sox
