Q: What are your expectations coaching the Jupiter Wave this summer?
A: This summer I expect to teach the players the importance of playing hard respecting the game, and their teammates. If we play hard and do that, I do not care about winning or losing, well play 9 innings hard the right way and see what happens.
Q: What kind of experience does the CLPB bring to you and your team?
A: It brings me a great opportunity to meet new players, build relationships, and continue to grow as a coach. For the player it provides a time where they can find themselves as players, learn from other teammates and coaches, and understand the importance of the objectivity of the game of baseball and how it deserves to be played.
Q: What made you decide to get into coaching?
A: Really, I just love people. Baseball is a rare occurrence where you are around the same dudes for a prolonged period of time, and you really get to go through a lot of things with the guys. I love that.
Q: What would you say is your greatest achievement as a coach?
A: Gaining trust with players and getting in the trenches with them.
Q: What kind of knowledge do you get out of coaching at the CLPB?
A: How to manage a team for sure. This will be my second year as managing and its legit, I am learning a lot. Also just hanging around more players from all over. Seeing how quickly I can find what makes them tick.
Q: What did you enjoy most about coaching at the CLPB last summer?
A: The group of guys I had for sure. We had some dudes that did not care the score, game time, weather, or anything they just wanted to hook it up and play, hard.
Q: How will you get your team the best prepared for this summer season?
A: Prospective on how the game should be played, and most importantly emphasizing the importance of not being afraid to let it fly and have some fun, not just in summer ball but all the time.
