In the 2021 CLPB season, Pat Gleason quickly showed that any time he touched the mound it was going to be a challenge for the opposing team. Gleason was able to collect a total of 34.1 innings throughout the summer while punching out 34 batters and posting a 1.57 ERA which was second best in the league. Gleason is currently at Pace University and is in his junior year.
In a brief interview with the CLPB Director of Operations Max Dakin, Gleason went on to share the following information on his experience with the CLPB
How would you rate your overall experience with the CLPB this past summer?
Gleason: I had a great experience in the CLPB in 2021. Not only was the baseball great, I met so many great people and made friendships that will last forever.
How would you say the CLPB helped you get ready for this past fall at your school?
Gleason: Especially coming off an injury in the spring the CLPB provided me the innings I needed to get my arm healthy again. My main goal was to be health for the fall when I got back to school. I trained at Cressey Sports Performance thanks to the CLPB which I really think enhanced my game.
How are you doing at your current school?
Gleason: Currently I’m doing very well at school however it is very difficult playing in 30-degree weather.
Any advice for incoming CLPB players to help them succeed this upcoming summer?
Gleason: I would tell the incoming CLPB players to just take advantage of every opportunity. There is so much baseball that will be played, great facilities and great people who really want to help you become not only a better player but a better person.
